A long-running New Jersey flying club

The 150th Aero Flying Club was founded in 1960 by a group of general aviation pilots affiliated with the 150th Air National Guard. Although originally linked to the Guard, the Club now operates independently as a member-run, not-for-profit flying organization.

The Club was initially based at Hanover Airport in Hanover, New Jersey, and later relocated to Morristown Municipal Airport. The Club now operates from Morristown Municipal Airport and Somerset Airport.

Shared aircraft, shared responsibility

Membership in the Club is open to certificated pilots holding at least a private pilot certificate. The Club is intentionally structured around active participation, careful aircraft use, and a cooperative safety culture.

Members are expected to operate within FAA requirements, Club rules, and practical safety expectations. Annual flight reviews, currency, aircraft checkout requirements, and ongoing proficiency are central to how the Club operates.

Current club officers

The Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of elected Club officers. The Board helps manage Club operations, aircraft, membership, safety, finances, and long-term planning.
